The brief read like standard lead generation: bring targeted traffic to the website through Meta Ads and collect applications for the bank's products.
Banking advertising is harder than almost any other category. The audience is cautious, every claim gets checked, and a loose wording stops being a weak creative and becomes a regulatory risk. Language adds a second layer. People here read in both Russian and Uzbek, and the same offer lands differently in each.
We started with analytics, not with creative. Tracking went in before launch. In finance you need to see the full path from click to application, otherwise there is no way to tell which product actually pays for itself.
We studied the audience and the competitors: what the market already promises, in which words, and to whom. That decided what our ads would not say.
We built the offers and adapted the copy. Not machine translation, but adaptation. A line that convinces in Russian often needs a different construction in Uzbek.
After that came day-to-day management with regular optimisation. Not launch once and report at month end, but constant shifting of budget toward the combinations with the lowest cost per conversion.
The campaigns delivered 3,942,614 reach and 197,250 clicks at $0.06 per click. CTR came out at 5%. On-site conversions reached 91,550, at a cost per conversion of $0.15.
A 5% CTR in the financial category is noticeably above the usual level. It comes from the offer matching the reason a person opened the feed in the first place, not from a clever headline. And 91,550 conversions at fifteen cents mean the chain of ad, landing page and form did not lose people at the handovers, which is normally where most of the traffic disappears.
The figures do not transfer. They depend on the product, the region, the competition for impressions and on what happens inside the account in a given month. Do not plan around the same cost per conversion in your own account.
Two rules do transfer. First, in categories with low trust the clearest ad wins rather than the boldest one. Anything that reads like a promise of easy money gets filtered out before it is read. Second, analytics is set up before launch. Adding it afterwards costs you the first month of data, and that month decides where the budget goes next.
